The Netherlands, also known unofficially as Holland, is a small country of northwest Europe on the North Sea. It is located west of Germany and north of Belgium. Though being a small country, The Netherlands has become internationally famous at various levels.

It is the home of the most renowned football players all over the world, such as, Van Patand, Rod and van Nelstroy. The Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh is also a memorable figure. However, if you like dairy products, it is also notable for the most famous brands of cheese and butter. Have you ever heard of the windmills that are a key feature of this country? Leading industries include shipbuilding, sugar refining, publishing, and the manufacture of heavy machinery, paper products, textiles, and clothing. The city is also famous as a center for polishing and cutting diamonds.

Trains are the key means of transportation between most of the large Holland cities. There is also exciting river bus which can take you into a thrilling, one-hour trip to watch a number of historical buildings and museums in Amsterdam. Tourists can find much pleasure in visiting the largest and most famous Chinese restaurant in Europe, several modern and old theaters and hotels.

River pathways are one of the truly magnificent scenes that tourists can enjoy watching at the stops of the river bus. Such stops give tourists an opportunity to take photos and have a look on picturesque scenes. They often offer books for reasonable and affordable prices, ranging from €5 to €10, depending on size, historic value and date of publication. Flower shops also spread everywhere and constitute an integral characteristic of the Dutch culture.
