Al Bustan … an Artistic and Cultural Piece of Art
I decided to pay a visit to Lebanon and spend a short holiday. Arriving at Beirut, I did not know where I would stay. There, a Lebanese friend accompanied me to a renowned hotel above the Lebanese Matn Mountain. The site is abundant with oak and pine trees, stone houses with red bricks amidst lofty pine trees that impose a picturesque view.
Al Bustan Hotel overlooks the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Every room in the spacious hotel has such a marvelous view. The hotel provides the most appropriate and ideal opportunity for recreation and luxury. Therefore, the hotel guests politicians, businessmen, artists and the celebrities of the world in general and Lebanon in particular.
Al Bustan Hotel features all amenities and attractions while providing unique natural scenery and a great opportunity for recreation and refreshment. Guests can also enjoy a life of splendor and luxury.
You can feel a special professional touch in the arrangement and coordination of different items and paintings. Everything reflects a delicate sense of art and accuracy in choosing furniture and decoration.
My Lebanese friend told me that the renowned Lebanese businessman, Emile Al Bustani, owner of “Cat Constructions”, wanted to establish something like a “meeting facility”. His businesses covered the East and the West and he used to hold several business meetings. However, he died in an aircraft accident in 1963, when his wife, Lura and his daughter, Mirna, translated his dream into reality. This can be easily perceived by looking at the design of the hotel. It features 117 rooms and other prestigious rooms for meetings, parties, banquets and other purposes. There are also a wide range of restaurants. The most notable attraction of the hotel, however, is its landscaped swimming pool, which is the ideal place for recreation and having pleasure under the warm sunrays.
Moreover, the hotel hosts an international festival that is held annually for music and arts. The festival serves as an event to revive cultural life after the Lebanese Civil War. Guests of the event include renowned musicians and lovers of exquisite arts.
The festival is scheduled to celebrate its 15th anniversary, where events will be organized under the slogan “beyond the borders”. Main events will be held in an auditorium at the day of “Emile Al Bustani”, in the “Crystal Garden” hall, in addition to a number of ancient churches and exquisite halls in Lebanon.
